In Memory

Cathie Sickel (Jones)

From her daughter's Facebook post:  My mom passed away at 11:45 this morning (Friday) surrounded by my dad, brother, Stephen and the girls. There are too many words to describe what an amazing, fun, and much-loved woman she was. Too many memories with friends and family to recount in this post. She will be deeply missed by so many.

2021: Message posted by her daughter on Facebook:  A life, so beautiful, deserves a special celebration. You are invited to help us honor the life of my mom, Cathie Jones. Leave your sadness at the door and bring your stories, laughs, and happiness over her life that was lived to the fullest. We will have an open house on Saturday, September 25th from 2:00 – 4:00PM at our home in West Seattle.

(Please email me/website administrator for the address.)

She passed away in March of 2020. She always loved a good party so we’ve had to wait this long to give her a proper celebration

Cathy was truly a great person. She was always smiling and laughing and so full of life.  We had known each other since we were 5 and started in kindergarten together.  We had so many fun times together. I was so happy when she met Terry as that was a match made in heaven.  Rest in peace my dear lady.broken heart

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my old neighbot Cathie. I had a nice time talking with her at the reunion. She will be missed by many.

I first met Cathie at Camp Waskiewitz when we were in the 6th grade. She was kind, thoughtful and friendly. She accepted me just the way I was - no pretense or expectation - she allowed me to be just another awkward uncomfortable confused 6th grader without judging or criticizing. She was funny and fun!!

I'm sorry I didn't get to know her better during high school but I do recall her quick smile, friendly attitude and accepting nature.  We were a better class because of her...

She will be missed!!

Gosh!   I remember at our 50th reunion how gorgeous she looked and ever-smiling  face.   She was always the "light in the room."

You will be missed our dear friend.
